Portia Diwa, Neo-Celtic lever harpist, is known for her elegant, gentle, and uplifting harp music.  With roots in Celtic, Latin, and Classical music, she arranges and composes music for healing, music for harp and other instruments, and music for harp ensembles.  Well known in San Francisco for her work as Healing Harp Clinical Faculty at California Pacific Medical Center, Portia provides theraputic harp music at the bedside and in the nursing units for patients and staff, and teaches Healing Harp classes and private lessons, and the Healing Harp Certification program. She also directs the Harmony Harp Enesmble for children, and Healing Harp Ensemble for adults.  At California Institute for Integral Studies, Portia is on faculty for the Sound, Voice and Music Healing Certification Program, teaching students about the therapeutic power of the harp through hands-on workshops.   

Portia has performed as a soloist and ensemble member at a number of well-known venues.  As a member of the harp trio "Triskela", she has performed at venues such as the Dorothy Spreckles Performing Arts Center in Rohnert Park and Soper Reese Theater for Performing Arts in Lake County.  Portia has performed solo and in ensembles at the Yachats Music Festival sponsored by Four Season Arts.  As a Waldorf graduate, she enjoys providing music for Winter Spirals at Waldorf schools throughout the Bay Area. During a Harp Tour in Alaska, Diana Stork and Portia performed a number of concerts in Juneau and Haines, teaching a harp workshop and providing educational demonstrations at local schools. 

Diana and Portia have completed a cd "Music from the Labyrinth - from Chartres to Grace" of original arrangements and original music to inspire contemplative labyrinth walks. Other cds Portia has released include debut CD "Early Light," Triskela harp trio's CD "Voice of Tara", and several CD's of healing music - "Ocean Song," "Winter Song," and "Invitation - Guided Imagery and Healing Harp" with Leslie Davenport, MFT, and selections on "Inisheer" as an alumni of the Bay Area Youth Harp Ensemble.

Portia enjoys playing music from the heart, with the intention of uplifting the spirit and bringing more healing, harmony and peace to the world.
